First Christian Church

In April, 2009, the Board voted to honor
FCC members who have long served both
their church and their communities with a
recognition Sunday and a pottery foot
basin, created by Julie Blackstone, and a
towel, which is to symbolize their many
years of service and "washing feet" as
Jesus did.

On Sunday, May 3rd, at the first
service, Ray Belford presented Judge
Glenn Dale Carter with his pottery foot
basin, created by Julie Blackstone, and
a towel.

On Sunday, May 3rd, at the second
service, Ray Belford presented the late John
Merrill with his Pottery foot basin,
created by Julie Blackstone, and a
towel.
